On the twelfth day of Blogmas my true love gave to me...
Well, well, it's hardly believable that tomorrow is going to be 2018. I don't even know where the last 6 months have been. I honestly don't know how I feel about this year. There has been plenty of sad times, and plenty of happy times. This year I learned more about myself than any other year, I also realised that it's quite hard to balance up life, work, and people important to you. This was the first year that I had started to live like a true adult, and actually having a real job and having to work out how much money we would have for the rest of the month. I know most people on the planet does it, but no one ever seems to talk about how big of a learning curve it is.
As great as this year was, I am really looking forward to the New Year now. I look forward to stepping out of my comfort zone, pushing my skills to the test and seeing what other opportunities awaits. And now, I would like to take this time to show myself and everyone 12 things that make 2017 a year worth remembering. Also to thank every single one of you who has liked, followed, commented or even just clicked on this little blog of mine. The support never goes unnoticed and I am honestly so happy to share this little baby of mine which I am so proud of, and that is saying something coming from a perfectionist. Sometimes it's scary to think about the idea that I'll never be successful, but for the first time in my life, I'd just like to take a risk.
February - I met my idol Victoria from InTheFrow for the first time, along with supermodel Barbara Palvin and was lucky enough to be chosen to attend the Colorista Launch Party where I saw people like Louisa Johnson and Alexis Ren.
May - It was an incredible honour to have been chosen as one of the 6 people (and the only woman) chosen to represent the UK in the Belgium Jujitsu Demonstration Seminar. The proudest trip of my Jujitsu career since 2014 when I won European bronze.
June - I spent a wonderful 21st birthday with the most perfect gifts and the most perfect person who surprised me by taking me to the Ice Bar in London.
July - As a delayed celebration for my 21st birthday, we jetted off to Zante, Greece for a super relaxing, infinity pool-type holiday with all inclusive drinks. We also met the world's most amazing bartenders on this holiday. We loved them so much that we would consider going back just for them!
July - One of the best things I've done this year, is starting this blog!
I mean, look at that photo skill progression in 5 months!
August - Around 2 weeks after starting this blog, I decided to be brave and go to my first ever blogging event, the Blogosphere Summer Party. Every time I go to an event I learn so much and I hope to be much more confident at them next year!
August - A wonderful second holiday of the year, this time with Nathan and his family. They introduced me to Cyprus which they go to every year and it was beautiful.
September - Me and Nathan started our life properly together by moving into our little flat in London, in time for my to start university and for him to step into his second year!
October - I had written a post for my idol and inspiration Victoria of InTheFrow for her blog's 5 year anniversairy! The post was also inspired by one of her most successful posts of the year. She read it, thanked me, and told me I inspired her! *Swoon moment of 2017*
December - And last but not least, I achieved my 2nd black belt in Jujitsu after 3 years and 3 knee surgeries, and I accomplished it while also in a nasty chest infection so I was quite proud! Then we celebrated by glamming up for the annual Christmas Ball and it was a great night of food, drinks and dancing!
I wanted to thank you all once more, from the bottom of my heart, you have made this year a year to remember.
