Way back to a few months ago, when I hit 500 followers on Twitter, I was so incredibly proud of my little baby blog because it was just over a month old and it was just such a large group of people. To celebrate, I decided to do a collaboration with one of my first blogging friends, Allanah Louise. Unfortunately, since she lives in Scotland and me down south in London, we have not had a chance to meet each other yet. But our mutual love for makeup and Taylor Swift meant that we had conversations going for weeks!
So we thought it would be plenty of fun to talk about each of our skincare regimes and our holy grails, with Allanah covering the morning and me covering the evening. So please to check out her blog and her half of this collab which are amazing here!
Also, this post is in no way sponsored by the skin clinic or anything, I just want to share my lovely experiences.
A Little Bit of History
Lately, under recommendation from my gorgeous inspiration InTheFrow, I have decided to visit the London BEA skin clinic in order to rectify the problems my skin has. To give everyone a bit of a background, I have never had any acne, or any huge skin problems. However, I have always had these little skin coloured bumps under my skin. After my consultation at the BEA Skin Clinic, I discovered that they were in fact bumps of congestion. Having these little bumps meant that I could not wear foundation or concealer, as they only seemed to make them show up more. So, my target is to get super smooth skin.
My Treatment at the Clinic
Currently I am receiving the Vitamin C and AHA resurfacer treatment at the skin clinic. This treatment is perfect for me because the resurfacing aspect literally pushes all the dirt and grub and everything else clogging up my pores up and out of my skin. Due to this, at the start it was normal to see a few spots popping up as that shows that the treatment was working. Finally, the vitamin C with antioxidant properties is added to help with that extra deep cleanse.
Products in my Routine
Because of the fact that I am receiving treatments from the BEA skin clinic, I am also currently using their line of products which were recommended to me. The lovely ladies at the clinic recommended five products to me; the exfoliating cleanser, Glyco-serum, Vitamin C serum, brightening cream and SPF, and I am supposed to use them in that order.
So every evening I would clean my face with the cleanser, then apply all the products in order except for the SPF, since I do not need that when I am sleeping.
Other Products I love
Aside from the clinic products, I also enjoy my little bits of relaxation and luxury. Other skincare favourites of mine include most of the items from the Soap & Glory range, L’Oreal masks, and I absolutely adore the Elemis Energising cleanser for normal use.
Every now and them I also really enjoy using my Foreo Luna to help with the cleansing of my face.
So there you have it! It has been so much fun working with such a good friend, I really hope we go get to meet each other one day! (I hear it’s snowing up in Scotland – if so I’m there.) Do go follow the lovely Allanah, I will leave all her links down below!
