On the seventh day of Blogmas my true love gave to me...
Ahhh there is only 5 days left until Christmas, I can't contain my excitement! So today I found out that while I had been happy with getting Nathan 2 (very nice) present, he's only gone and brought me like 7! So now I feel ultra-bad, and will need to run around like a headless chicken to find some more pieces for him. But it's okay. All my other presents a wrapped now and under the tree, which is such a lovely sight!
So on this day I wanted to bring to you 7 nail polishes which I believe are brilliant for this recent seasons as well as for the upcoming BIG day. There is sparkle, there is dark, and there is also light so there is definitely something for everyone here! Out of all the nail polishes that I own (and trust me, I own a lot), these are my absolute favourites that I have picked out and either have already worn them or will be wearing in the next few weeks!
It's Christmas, who wouldn't love a bit or sparkle? Okay maybe a lot of sparkle. The ones I have picked here for you are Barry M's Enchanted, Rockstar and Ciate's Antique Brooch. I am really sorry to say that Enchanted was a limited edition shade that was sold last year, and you now cannot buy it, I'm really sorry! However, I still wanted to include it because it is the nail polish that I choose every year at Christmas because of it's gorgeous sparkling red properties.
Rockstar is a part of Barry M's Glitterati collection and is still available to buy now. It is a gorgeous sheer black polish with different coloured glitter inside. This one isn't a pain to take off like a lot of other glitter nail polishes, and its like a rock chick dark polish, but with a bit of fun. Ciate's Antique Brooch on the other hand, is a pain to get off, I'll be honest with you. But it is PRETTY. Huge flakes of gold and pink glitter? I'm down. Plus, there is nothing wrong about wanting to wear a nail polish the colour of your nana's fabulous jewellery.
When I say shiny, I know it's weird because every polish is shiny unless it's matte, but I mean that these are a different sort of shine. And as you can see, both of these polishes happen to be Rimmel ones. It wasn't on purpose, but when I went to pick a light colour, I knew I wanted the Rimmel Lose Your Lingerie, which is a pale pink with a soft shiny pearlescent finish.
The other one is called Hot Metal Love, which is a metallic silver purple that is certainly different to your average nail polish. I wanted to add something that wouldn't be everyone's Christmas polish choice but that is still pretty to wear nonetheless.
These are the nail polishes that many are more used to. Just good ol' regular satin shiny finish that is beautifully elegant. The 2 that I have chosen here greatly differ in their colour, one is Essie's Bahama Mama, and the other is Nails Inc.'s White Horse Street.
I'm sure most of us has heard of Bahama Mama before, as it is loved by many for autumn for the perfect burgundy purple shade but it is still easy to wear due to the slight pink in the colour. White Horse Street is one of my most favourite nail polish shades, I just love the fact that it is like an off white colour, so if you look at it from afar it looks white, but at a closer look there is actually a slight lavender tone to it. It's just so easy to wear all year round!
