Massive BOO. Its home time today. Although I must admit, I am not as sad as I would normally be. After 10 lovely days away, I am looking forward to the rest of the month ahead. Within a few weeks, I will be fully living in London with my boyfriend, I will also have a nephew, which is very very exciting! Also, I am 100% most looking forward to my pile of packages back home from online shopping, PR packages and many more. It’s basically Christmas!
So since today was spent packing, waiting, and sitting for long hours
on all different types of transport, comfort was definitely at the top of my list. Therefore, I decided to go with a loose fitting V neck cut-out choker top from Topshop and soft black leggings, also from Topshop. Plus the Primark sandals that I wore yesterday. In order to make sure that my laptop along with my essentials all fit into one bag, I decided to bring my new New Look bag with me, which was intended for university use, but it was the biggest bag I had, so I have to break it out.
This top was a fairly recent addition, only a few months ago. Back around the transition between Spring and Summer, there was a huge hype for these type of cut-out collar tops, and needless to say, I quickly fell with the trend, with the whole slightly grungy, rock chick style. I do adore Topshop, because quite often I might have to go a size down and the clothes would still be slightly loose, unlike places (cough cough H&M) where something 3 sizes up don’t fit. This particular top is no longer available, but I have linked a similar Topshop one below.
When I cleared out my wardrobe lately, I discovered that all of my bottoms, no matter if they were jeans or leggings, had some sort of holes in at some point. At that moment I decided the most dreadful thing needed to be done. Jeans shopping. Leggings are just as bad because it is just so hard to find a good quality pair that will last. But these ones from Topshop answers my prayers. They are thin and light without completely showing off your underwear and I love the branded waistband on these. I also have the same leggings in burgundy, and plan to purchase more pairs when I get back.
My earrings and sandals are the same ones from yesterday’s post, but this tote bag I brought with me purely for the hand luggage. I think this is an absolutely beautiful bag, with the decorative pink and rose gold panels. It is also very robust which makes it a good value for money. This will be the perfect bag to take away to university with me for everyday work as I’ll be able to fit my laptop inside. Unbelievably, this bag is no longer sold even though I bought it within the last month. But fear not, New Look constantly has very nice bags. And lastly, my trendy yet slightly Harry Potter style suitcase was from Primark.
Not long now until the start of New York fashion week! What are your favourite fashion trends at the moment?
