Since I normally post on Wednesdays and Saturdays, putting a post up on Sunday is strange. However, today is a special day. Today is my favourite blog’s birthday. Today the blog InTheFrow is 5 years old, and I know it’s totally strange for me to be writing this post, since I am obviously not the author of the beautiful and widely-known blog. But I have been a big big fan of the blog since it’s purple days (if you’re a fan too, you’ll know what I’m talking about), and I wanted to write this post in tribute to the blog InTheFrow, and it’s leading lady, Victoria.
Obviously, you would only understand this post if you read Victoria’s
blog or even just keep up to date with her on social media, more notably, her stunning Instagram. So if you do, you might remember that a short while ago, Victoria wrote a blog post where she collaborated with Three Floor and wrote all about herself, the good and bad. Since the writing and the photography in that post was absolutely out of this world and loved by many, I wanted to take some inspiration from there. So here I just wanted to spend some time to help Victoria celebrate this special day in my own way.
In just the short space of 5 years, nearly half of the time it took big names like Zoella and Tanya Burr to get to where they are, Victoria is seen to be just as successful. Sure, she doesn’t have her own line of products (although she definitely should!), but with regards to how busy she is as well as how many brands wish to work with her, you can tell that she really is one of, if not the most brightest shining stars in the blogosphere.
The Past 5 Years
Having been a great big fan of her since around 2013, it has been so much fun to watch her grow and accomplish so many things as if we were all one of her closest friends. And I know for a fact that she treats all her fans as such. Here are just a few little remarks of her many many achievements, all things I aspire towards as a relatively new blogger.

I was lucky enough to have met Victoria twice in the past year. First time was supposed to be at her Olympus x Karen Millen event, but I had had a knee surgery, and alas could not make it through London’s fast paced and busy underground network. However, the first time I had actually met her was at a L’Oreal event with Barbara Palvin which I spoke about in another post. There, I was lucky enough to have received an invite to the launch party that night and got to speak to her more. Second time was yet another L’oreal meetup, this time a lot smaller and intimate, where I was also able to hand her a piece of artwork that I had been working on for a few days and she very kindly signed my copy of the Blogosphere magazine for me.
If you have never really watched her videos and read her blog posts, then it might be easy to assume that she is a her success was handed to her on a silver platter and she might think of herself too big to care about her fans. But the truth is, she spends hours out of her day to reply to blog post and video comments, she likes most tweets and she replies to some of them too. When I had the chance to meet Francesca, one of the managers at Gleam Features and manages Pixiwoo (Sam & Nic Chapman), she said that Victoria was the most hardworking person that she has ever known, and that she doesn’t stop unless she knows something is perfect, even if she loses sleep from it.
Like the way that she looks up to Victoria Beckham, I look up to her. I realise that many of her fans think this way, but regardless of that, Victoria is the one person I take as inspiration whether that is her way of life, her successful career or her achievements. In fact, Victoria has recently done a YouTube video where she recreated Victoria Beckham’s look at New York Fashion Week and I wanted to do something similar, where I try and recreate her looks at one of her most beautiful blog posts of this year. I am clearly nowhere near the standard that she is, and my boyfriend has a long way to go before his photography skills are anything like Alex’s, but bless him, he tries his best.
Get The Look
To recreate the looks of this post from InTheFrow, I relied on ASOS to help me. It was definitely difficult to try and find other clothing as beautiful as Three Floor, so I just went for similar colours and styles. For the red, I used a simple Closet long sleeved shirt dress with a Band Of Gypsies festival dress underneath and paired it with a pair of Truffle Collection nude heels, which are perfect Gianvito Rossi dupes. I had to combine 3 lip products to recreate her lips, which was Mac Cherry liner, L'Oreal x Balmain lipstick in Domination and Fleur De Force lipgloss in Lucky Star.
For the blue, I was wearing a navy jumpsuit and black mules, both by ASOS. Since navy mules, especially ones as gorgeous as those Malone Souliers. I also found the amazing kiss ring for just £3, and some ball drop earrings since I could not find disk earrings. For the makeup, I kept the eyeshadow the same, which I created using the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette. And for lips, I decided it would be fitting to use Charlotte Tilbury's Very Victoria, which is a beautiful nude.
Shop The Looks
I really hope you manage to take a little time out of your busy day to read this Victoria, because I really wanted to tell you that you are an absolutely beautiful person, inside and out. Your happiness and laughter in your vlogs puts a smile on many of our faces. Your bubbly personality is another reason why so many adore you. I hope that when you are having a hard day or a day where you are buried in work, to hopefully read this, and know that you have achieved so many great things, and to remember that I, amongst thousands of others, absolutely love you and we cannot wait to see where you can take InTheFrow next. I hope that one day I will be able to sit beside you as a fellow blogger and maybe even get to work with you someday.
Love from, Sophia.
