If you have read this blog before or have been reading for a little while, you might remember me talking about the fact that I love going to blogging events and that I went to Leeds Blogger's Blog Awards last year. Whilst there, I met some amazing people and watched some lovely people get their awards. There was also a raffle that happened and unlike every other time in my life, I actually won something!
There was some insane prizes there, and I was lucky enough to have won some products from the Crabtree & Evelyn La Source range. I have never seen this range before, but I do know I am a big fan of Crabtree & Evelyn, especially their Lily of the Valley range which they unfortunately don't sell anymore but smelled absolutely divine. But what do I think of this ocean inspired range?
Refreshing Body Wash
Body wash is normally not something I would pay a huge amount of money for, although I do appreciate the luxury of the more expensive ones. I'll be honest, if I like the smell of one enough (I.e. Dove), I would definitely pay less attention to the price point.
The best thing about this range is that it is ocean inspired, which is right down my street. I do like the slightly musky, and an almost ocean breeze scent. Once I started using this body wash I noticed it was quite thick and quite luxurious to the touch. I didn't use it long enough to find out about it's moisturising properties, but I think the fact that it has the conditioning and pH-balanced aspect will be appealing to plenty of people, especially those who have dry/sensitive skin.
The body wash retails for £16 and is available here.
Exfoliating Body Scrub
This is probably my favourite product from the range. I use it about twice a week, and it just helps me by making skin that little bit softer. The smell isn't too strong, but a subtle ocean scent that is super calming.
What I love best about this product is that the Pumice and Sunflower Wax Beads are not too harsh, so when I keep rubbing into my skin it doesn't feel like it's cutting into me. Also I often found that exfoliating products always left my skin feeling quite dry and thirsty, but this one doesn't, it's just very comfortable to use and gentle on your skin.
The body scrub retails for £20 and is available here.
Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy
Now this product I absolutely don't like. I had no problems with the product itself, and it did moisturise my hands well. But the biggest problem I had with this product was the smell.
You would imagine that the smell of this entire range would be the same, and it is. But the scent is about 20 times stronger in this product and I hated it. It was so strong that it actually gave me a migraine and that put me off straight away. And you know when you hate the smell of something and you can smell it everywhere? Yeah that was me. That is such a shame, because I feel like if it wasn't for the smell I would have really liked it.
The Hand therapy retails for £18 and is available here.
Hydrating Body Lotion
This product, I do like. I like it because it is really light and it does it's job well as a moisturiser.
I don't know about anyone else but I personally really hate those thick and heavy moisturisers, the kind that you put on and it actually makes you feel slightly dirty? Yeah I like this body lotion because it's not like that, and the scent was back to the normal ocean calm which I am a big fan of. I also really like the fact that it's a pump so its easy to get the product rather than making a mess.
The body lotion retails for £19 and is available here.
Hydra Marine Nourishing Oil
This product came to me at the perfect time! I was thinking about the way my legs looked when I wore a dress and I admit, I do and can suffer from a little bit of dry skin. And I've never used an oil before, but I knew it would be a quick solution to make my legs and ready for the big posh word..? Decolletage look good.
Considering I've never tried any other oils, I actually quite like this. There is not overpowering smell and it's not too overly oily, which is 100% a good thing.
Now my Decolletage can look great. You can see the before and after on my legs below!
The nourishing oil retails for £30 for 100ml and is available here.

So overall, except for that one product which killed my nostrels, I actually quite like this range! I think I would repurchase the exfoliating body wash because it is fantastic.
Have you tried anything from Crabtree & Evelyn? Would love to hear some recommendations!
